3 Advanced Ways to Achieve Best SEO

Every webmaster's dream is to have an enormous traffic to their site. This doesn't only make their site popular but it also make the site earn money through the huge number of visitors accessing the site on a daily basis. Increasing the traffic to your site can be relatively easy especially if you know your way to SEO. Optimizing your content and making your articles rich in keywords are the basic SEO steps. For more advance tips, refer to the information below:
a. Learn from those who lead the rank. These people may be considered your competitors towards the highest rank but while yours is not soaring high enough yet, these "competitors" that you consider may be the same people who can help you boost your rank. Try to study and investigate the things that they are doing on their own site and make a comparison. You will soon realize that there are a lot of things that you do not have on your site that made it not rank on the search engine page results.
b. Evaluate your keyword components. Search engine optimization is primarily dealing with keywords - that is a fact that you should learn to accept. Try to determine if your keywords are making it on the search terms. If they are not, then it is time for you to modify and change the keywords on your site content. Do not think that popular keywords are more likely the ones to generate better ranking. On the contrary having these keywords on your content will make your site suffer more because of the higher competition that these keywords have.
c. Develop content and develop more. One of the main reasons why sites are being visited is because of the contents that they bear. If your site has relevant contents and more relevant contents, then you can expect that people will start flocking on it.

Basic SEO For Site Monetization Using PPC

In order to use programs like AdSense and to also increase the chances of being noticed by Google's search engine, you will have to learn a little about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). While the term may sound intimidating, luckily understanding SEO is not really all that difficult.
The concept of SEO is to write content that attracts readers of certain interests, by using relevant keywords in your page title, headline, sub-titles and the body of the text content on your page.
That same information also tells Google what kind of ads to serve to your site assuming your readers will have interest in ads that have to do with your content. If you don't use SEO, Google may decide to serve up adds that pay very little because they don't have any really good keywords telling them what higher paying keywords your site is related to. Whereas, if you just spent a few more minutes adding the right keyword phrases to your content/posts, you could generate a much better payout from the higher paying keywords.
There are some people on the Internet who believe that SEO is dead just because Google doesn't pay much attention to meta tags anymore, and the only way to get high search engine results listings is by having a massive number of back links from popular authority sites is simply not true. It can still help to learn a lot about SEO and use it to increase the power to attract traffic and also to increase your bottom line if your choice of ad programs is AdWords or any ad delivery system that runs on the same premise.
In addition, you can use SEO to target your articles and press releases to make them rank higher in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Positions). By adding a few keywords that tell the search engine that you have a specific market niche in mind, it makes it really easy for it to rank your content and serve it to the people looking for just this niche. And, that's the other reason why you will want to know SEO even though you may be using Bidvertiser.com as your choice of advertiser. That knowledge can help you target profitable niches even before you decide to create a web site or write a single post.
By the way, are you a coach, consultant, entrepreneur, speaker, small business owner or online marketer who is tired of getting paid less than you are worth for your coaching and consulting?

Article Marketing to Generate Backlinks for Search Engine Optimization

Article marketing is one of my favorite methods of generating traffic to my web site, and one of the ways I do that is through the creation of backlinks to my web site via the article marketing process.
One of the widely popular uses of article marketing is that of creating multiple backlinks which the search engines can use to estimate the popularity of a website. The theory is this: if one website has more webpages from other websites linking in to it than another website, it must have a greater ‘popularity’ than the other websites. And the process of article marketing, when done correctly, can add to the number or websites you have linking to your web site.
Some search engine formulas are purported to use this concept as one of their main ranking criteria, so a popular form of search engine optimization and promotion is that of creating backlinks. Obviously those backlinks can be created through a number of methods, including website submission to web directories, link exchanges, link purchases, and simply asking webmasters to link to one’s website. Article marketing provides a powerful method of creating backlinks to your web site while simultaneously creating exposure for you and your name online.
However, writing articles, including a link to your website, and submitting that website to multiple article directories can create a massive number of backlinks that are relatively inexpensive (only your time if you do all the work yourself) and do not involve swapping links or otherwise personally asking for favors or reciprocity. So article marketing is one of the easiest ways to generate these back links and create credibility.

Analysis of Competing Sites to Create Strategy to Outrank Top Ten Ranked

Like I said before, it is not always going to be clear cut.
Here are some examples. Perhaps you find that for your keyword, most of the top ten ranked pages have over 500 inbound links. In that case, you know you need more than 500 inbound links, and you probably need to pay special attention to the anchor text on the inbound links of your competitors.
You also know that this is going to take some time to do – perhaps over a year. So you need to choose some other keywords that do not have as much competition.
Here is another example. Perhaps you discover that most of the web sites with which you will be competing have less than 10 inbound links each, except for a few that have over 100. You can be reasonably sure that you can achieve a ranking here with more than 10 inbound links.
Now of course you have to look at the quality of those links. This is where the pagerank checker comes in handy. Although you could go through each of the inbound links and check them individually for pagerank, if you simply have checked the pagerank of the web sites with which you are directly competing, you will get a good feeling for the average pagerank of the web sites that are linking in.
This is not in any way a scientific or definitive assessment of inbound link quality, but it should suffice for your purposes. You see, your purpose is to break into the top ten results, not to quantify the quality of the entire web of inbound links. And my feeling is that if you can approximate that, and work on getting yours to a higher level, you will have done enough.
Now your next step is to devise a plan that will enable your web pages to rank higher in each of the areas I have just discussed.
Perhaps you find that the bulk of the sites with which you are competing for a specific keyword have an average of 50 inbound links, and average pr of 5, and high concentration of the keyword in the anchor text on the inbound links.
What would your strategy be?
Mine, of course, would be to outdo each of those categories.
1) I would set a goal of 100 inbound links showing up in the yahoo search engine (so that I am comparing apples to apples).
2) I would duplicate the anchor text strategy of my competitors
3) I would shoot for a pr of 5+. To do this, I would make sure that my web site included at least 10 linked pages with content on them (at least 300 words per page) and I would attempt to link to web sites with at least a pr of 5.

Advanced Ways to Create More Money in SEO

Search engine optimization doesn't have to be a pain not only to your wallet but to your brain as well. Here are excellent advanced ways to create more money in SEO.
1. Learn to commit to the entire process. Speak of SEO and you know that you are in for a long haul. You should be able to understand that it's not going to give you the kind of result you've been expecting overnight. In fact, it will take at least 3 to 6 months before you can actually feel the outcome. Commitment also means always keeping up with the changes that comes along with search engine optimization. This is to ensure that your website will always remain indexed in search engines.
With your commitment, you should also learn to be patient. This means that you shouldn't resort to black hat techniques that will only damage your reputation and possibly your search engine ranking.
2. Be a good student when it comes to SEO. There are a number of people who are taking the DIY route with regards to SEO. If you decide to pursue such, you need to read a lot of materials about the subject. You can download eBooks, read blogs from SEO experts, join groups, or participate in forums. Don't forget to ask questions if there are things that you don't understand. You can always leave a message to the veterans.
3. Make your Web addresses SEO friendly. There are certain rules you have to keep in mind for our URLs. It's advisable that you avoid using a domain name with more than three hyphens. Otherwise, it will be viewed as bogus not just by search engines but by Internet users as well. You can also install a web analytics software so you can keep track if your strategies are working or not.

8 Steps to Make a Profit with SEO

Whether you are promoting your own site or someone else’s, you need to pay attention to the techniques in SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. Here are 8 steps to help you write better SEO for more profit.
Step 1: Before you do anything else, get into the web directories on Yahoo, Google, and MSN. You don’t need a functioning website--you are simply trying to get your domain name in to the big search engines so you don’t have to wait to get noticed.
Step 2: Learn who your customer really is. You will need to know the language they use so you know what to put into your content and how to write it.
Step 3: Make a good website. SEO involves as much keeping customers as getting them to visit, so don’t assault their eyes with flashing banners and bright colors.
Step 4: Content and Keywords, part 1
Write good, understandable content, and use words your customers will use when they enter search terms in the search engines. Make sure they find you by using a keyword density of about 2%.
Step 5: Content and Keywords, part 2
Be careful of oversaturation of your keywords. Don’t put in any more than about 5%--the search engines will pick up on this and may boot you from the top rankings. SEO is not an exact science, but there were ways to cheat in the past that were nipped in the bud.
Step 6: Give and Get Backlinks
This doesn’t mean trade links to your website with a friend. Search engines also pick up on that and frown on the practice. Get links from appropriate websites that are important, even if you have to trade a free article for it.
Step 7: Check Content
Like cheese, your content has an expiration date, after which it’s just stale old news. Update often.
Step 8: Check Website
In addition to keeping your SEO writing fresh and updated, check all your links and links to your own website--eliminate any that no longer work.

8 Key Ways to Advance in Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization is the very backbone of any website. It directs online visitors to your site when internet users key in the keywords that are relevant to your site.
Here are 8 key ways to advance in search engine optimization:
1. Discover the most relevant keywords for your website. You can make use of various keyword suggestion tools in determining which keywords are related to your business and are most searched by Internet users.
2. Study your competitors. Since you're competing with other websites, you must be able to analyze their SEO strategies and improve them so you can beat them.
3. Optimize your content's title. To make sure that your pages can be indexed in search engines, use different titles as well as meta tags for every page of your website.
4. Optimize your site's meta tags. Meta tags are only for web crawlers, but they're still very essential. You can help search engine spiders identify which keywords you are using for your website.
5. Create a site map. A site map can help search engine spiders navigate all over your web pages so it can index them more quickly. This way, you can get your well-deserved page rank and boost your rankings in search engines faster.
6. Add a text file for your robots. Robots will help alert search engine spiders what pages you want to get indexed as well as when is the right time to check out your site for any new content.
7. Validate your website's code. Doing this will help you determine if you have broken links and prevent having supplemental results in search engines.
8. Follow appropriate keyword density. When writing contents for your site, keep two things in your mind: Search engines and online users. Sprinkle the right amount of keywords to your content so search engines can easily find you and don't overuse the keywords so your content is reader-friendly.

7 Best Ways to Make More Profit with SEO

Profitable SEO (search engine optimization) can involve many things, from placement of certain words in an article to writing titles for your content. Here are 7 of the best ways to increase your SEO profits.
1: Registration

This should be your first step for profitable SEO. Even before your site goes live you should get registered with Google, MSN, and Yahoo. This will save you time in getting noticed.
2: Use Keywords

When you write your content, make sure you use good keywords and keyword phrases--this means you will be using the exact terms people will be searching for in the search engines when they look for your business.
3. Use Good Titles

You should use the same keywords in your titles that you do in the text. Keywords should appear close to the beginning of the article as well.
4. Don’t Oversaturate Keywords

Search engines pick up on keyword padding, so only use about 2% to 4% concentration. Heavy keyword use also cuts down on readability; search engines like readable text.
5. Clear Content

If you can’t be understood, chances are you will not get good rankings and will not have profitable SEO. If you have to hire your material written, it will be worth it.
6. PPC Ads

If you use PPC to boost your profitable SEO writing, make sure you use the same principles--clarity, keywords, and keywords in the title.
7: Get Links

Whether you need to offer articles in exchange for backlinks or you can just get them by request, get them--links tell the search engines your site is important.

6 Quick Steps to Make a Profit with Search Engine Optimization

Lucrative search engine optimization (or SEO for short) is often simply a matter of understanding exactly what your customers are going to look for on the internet when they are looking for your business. Here are 6 quick steps to help you with your search engine optimization.
Step 1: Get Registered

Even before your website is live you can register with the big search engines--Google, MSN, and Yahoo. Get your domain name in and you won’t have to wait for six months to get noticed once you go live.
Step 2: Plan Keywords

You will want to use keywords in your content and your titles as well. Don’t use too much--2-3% is the maximum saturation of keywords before the search engines start thinking you are padding your keywords.
Step 3: Good Website Design

This helps your clarity. Even though it may not affect your placement in the rankings, it will keep customers on your site. Bad design will create click offs.
Step 4: PPC Advertising

This is an important aspect of any lucrative search engine optimization because you will likely use the same keywords as you do in your website.
Step 5: Get Backlinks

Write articles for free, offer to promote others’ websites in blogs and forum posts, etc., but get those links to your website. Just don’t trade links--this is a no-no for lucrative search engine optimization.
Step 6: Blog and Post

Lucrative search engine optimization also includes what you do when you’re blogging about your business. Use the keywords again and make sure you make sense.

5 Ways to Search Engine Optimization

Sometimes getting yourself listed in search engines requires following certain rules set by the moderators of search engines and those considered by webmasters as white hat or ethical.
What are these? Here are 5 great ways to search engine optimization:
1. Focus on your title tag. Title tags are important as they are the ones that come up when a person searches information through the Internet. Make sure that it is short, at most 60 characters, and are made up of between 8 and 10 words.
2. Go for light pages. Though HTML codes are friendlier than other types of website coding, it's still best to use them less. This way, your web pages can be indexed much faster. It doesn't take so long too for your visitors to download them into their PCs. Make sure it's just 100KB or lesser than that.
3. Avoid using Flash. Flash will not only make download time so much longer, but they aren't also indexed by search engines. Therefore, there's practically no use spending so much time to it. Rather, focus on your contents, such as articles and useful images.
4. Use static HTML. Unless it's very much necessary to settle for dynamic websites, when you constantly need to change your data, go for static HTML. It's much cheaper to build, easier to publish, and more convenient to index by search engine spiders. Moreover, it doesn't eat too much bandwidth, so your users can directly download them without much of a hassle.
5. Use PDFs sparingly. Though they do get indexed by search engines, they can hang a PC and are more annoying than HTML-based texts. Thus, use them sparingly. Only those that you think would be worthy to be downloaded and stored in your visitors' hard drives should be converted to PDF files.

To Be Successful You Must Make Calls Everyday By Trevor Kugler

To Be Successful You Must Make Calls Everyday
By Trevor Kugler

One of the hardest things for new salespeople to grasp is the fact that calls have to be made everyday, even when it seems as if they don't matter. It's Murphy's Law or something, but when a person is just starting out, it's tough to drum up any real interest in anything. Not to mention interest in whatever product or service you are trying to distribute.
The "pot of gold" at the end of the sales call rainbow only appears if calls are made everyday. A critical mass must be reached, and the only way to reach a critical mass is to make those calls everyday. Those calls can be phone calls or actual interactions in front of prospects; the point is that it must be done everyday. I'm sure you've heard the analogy, but much like a snowball, this is how the critical mass starts.
Does this make it any less frustrating when you are being told NO, over and over again, and not making any money? It sure doesn't, but it also doesn't make it any less true. If you're a salesperson (and who among us isn't) prospects are going to tell you NO a lot. That's just the nature of the game. This is another reason that calls must be made everyday. The more no's you hear, the closer you are to that YES.
This is all simple sales jargon, but again, it's true. The bottom line is that calls must be made every single day if you want to accomplish anything. If you're making calls here and there, you're not going to get anywhere and you'll feel like your spinning your wheels. Focus becomes a key. If staying focused isn't your strongest attribute, I would suggest getting to work on that as well. There are thousands of books and CD's on the subject, so get in there. Just make sure that while you're learning how to stay focused, you also make calls everyday, because that's where the business comes from.
It's helpful to remember what James Cash Penney said, "Salesmanship is limitless. Our very living is selling. We are all salespeople." And never forget to make calls everyday!

We're ALL In The Customer Business

We're ALL In The Customer Business

Has anyone ever asked you what kind of business you're in? Of course they have and it doesn't matter what your answer is. You could be in the insurance, automobile, restaurant, Internet, investment, network marketing, writing, publishing, etc. The type of business makes very little difference, because we're all in the customer business. If we don't attract and subsequently keep customers there is no business.
Many people think McDonald's is in the hamburger business. Or that Domino's is in the pizza business. How about Gateway being in the computer business? Nope, all of these companies are in the business of attracting and then keeping customers. The product is of little importance without customers.
This is a very important key to remember in any business, because without customers business as we know it would cease to exist. Let's not forget what W. Edwards Deming said, "Profit in business comes from repeat customers, customers that boast about your project or service, and that bring friends with them." So there you go, without customers there is no business.
We would all be better off spending our time focusing on both obtaining and retaining customers, because that's the key to business as we know it. You've no doubt heard the old saying that 'the customer is king'. Keep that saying in mind as you move forward on your quest to attract keep the most important part of your business...the customer. And never forget that whatever business you say your in, in reality your in the customer business.

Who Wants To Be An Entrepreneur Anyway? By Trevor Kugler

Who Wants To Be An Entrepreneur Anyway?
By Trevor Kugler

The dictionary described an entrepreneur as: One who creates a product on his own account; whoever undertakes on his own account an industrial enterprise in which workmen are employed. So, after reading the definition, and being one for most of my life, I have to pose the question that this article is titled. As I said, I've been an entrepreneur for my entire life and know from experience that it's not all it's cracked up to be.
I've often wondered why I have this flame burning in me that simply refuses to go out. I used to try to put the fire out by drinking, but that didn't work, so I quit drinking. I have tried getting jobs on various occasions and having a boss is just too much for me. The fire always seems to win and just can't be tamed. I simply like the idea of bringing my product, or someone else's product to the marketplace and getting paid for doing it. That and the idea of not having a boss.
Not having a boss is probably the biggest factor in all of this. Something about that fire burning deep inside of me tells me that having someone tell me what to do and not do is no good. In the past I've gotten jobs and was the model employee, but in the back of my mind, I never liked it. All because I was born with the entrepreneurial fire deep within me that I can't put out.
So I'm left to continue trying, but from time to time I can't help realize that it would sure be easier to just get a job and be done with it. I'll never forget what Ted Turner said about the subject, "My son is now an "entrepreneur." That's what you're called when you don't have a job." That quote really hits the nail on the head.
So the next time that you think you want to be an entrepreneur and change the world, you may want to think again. Just getting a job would sure be a lot easier. Unfortunately if you've got the same fire burning in you that I've got burning in me, you've got no choice. Your going top have to just get out there and change the world.

Why Web Traffic Is Everything

Why Web Traffic Is Everything

Many people, especially when they're just beginning in the website game fail to take into consideration the importance of traffic. I know for me, I had some delusion of grandeur that like the movie Field Of Dreams, "if you build it, they will come". I quickly found out that this wasn't the case. As a matter of fact it was the furthest thing from the truth. The truth is that thousands of websites are being created every single day and put on the World Wide Web. Your website is just one of those thousands and thousands, all stacked on top of each other. Unless you figure out a way to generate traffic to your website, it's literally just sitting there adding no value to anything.
The first thing that comes to peoples mind, at least the first thing that came to my mind when I first started was search engines. Search engines are by far the most popular way for strangers interested in what your website is about to find your website. There's no doubt about that. The problem is that you need to be really careful who you listen to about search engines and getting listed on search engines, because it seems like everyone and their brother is a freakin' expert on the subject. And when you start tiptoeing through this minefield, you quickly find out that they all want your money!
When we first started our webmaster told us that for a mere $50 bucks a month he could have our site 'submitted' to all of the search engines and before long we would rank well for our chosen keywords. This all sounded great to us so we went ahead and did it, only to realize that it didn't freakin' matter art all. Just having your site 'submitted' is only a small piece of a very large puzzle. But did our webmaster explain any of this in order to help us out? Nope. He was only interested in our $50 bucks a month. So I made myself an expert on the subject of search engines and quickly realized that he was more or less stealing our money from us.
My point is that many times webmasters know a lot about creating a website (which ours does), but nothing about actually making that website worth anything to anyone. My main point is that none of this matters without traffic. So how do you go about getting people to your site without an advertising budget worth thousands of dollars? Without giving all of the same tired answers like message boards and banner exchanges the best way to get traffic to your site for free is to begin writing articles about your subject of expertise.
The key here is not to write 1 or 2 articles. You have to write a lot of articles and give them some time to do their work. You see, at the bottom of every article you write, there is a resource box with all of your author information and links to your website. Writing articles is like planting seeds. If you're constantly digging up the seed to see if it's starting to grow, it won't grow. And if you plant just 1 or 2 seeds, what are the chances of those plants growing to be healthy plants? But what if you plant 5000 seeds? Are you following me? The bottom line to all of this is that without traffic, having a website means very little and the best and most inexpensive way to generate that traffic is through the writing of articles.

Why Web Traffic Is Everything

Without Traffic Having A Website Means Nothing

Without Traffic Having A Website Means Nothing

This might sound like a completely obvious statement, but it's a fact that I didn't fully understand when my company started it's website. I think I figured that somehow, just by having a great looking website, interest would follow. Let me clue you in on some of what I've learned.....it doesn't. Traffic doesn't just happen. You have to literally go out and get it. I've also came to the stunning realization that without traffic, you might as well not have a website. The exception to this rule is if you have a strictly informational website with no intention of making any money. In the case of a purely informational website, traffic actually does mean nothing. I'm of course referring to a website that has the intention at turning a profit.
If you have any intention of turning a profit everything begins and ends with traffic. You must have a lot of people visiting your website in order to make any money. There are various ways of bringing traffic to your website and most of them cost money. I'm not telling you this to discourage you, just to make you aware. You must have traffic and getting traffic in most cases costs money.
Being at the top of search engine results would be a great way to get traffic, right? There is no question that being in the top results of search engine phrases will bring traffic. The thing that you need to be aware of is that it isn't easy or cheap to get in the top search results. Not by a long shot. It takes time, money, and work to get your website to the top of search engine results. It's as simple as that.
The important thing to remember is that you have to get traffic to your site. So start educating yourself as to how you're going to get traffic, because it doesn't just magically appear. As I said before, in many cases you have to go out and get it. Just keep in mind that what your grandmother said is true......there are no easy fixes in life. And the subject of traffic is no different than anything else.....there are no easy fixes.

You Too Can make Money By Writing An E-book!

You Too Can make Money By Writing An E-book!

How about this claim, Huh? Believe me my friends; writing an e-book isn't the issue. Anyone and their brother can write a freakin' e-book. The issue is how you make money from the e-book once it's written. All of the weasels out there claiming how you can make a ton of money writing e-books leave this little tidbit of information out of the equation, and do you know why? Because they want your money
There are a ton of weasels out there that want to sell you their e-book on how to make money selling e-books, and from what I can tell it's all a vicious circle. A circle filled with outlandish claims and pissed off people. Because nothing that I've ever seen actually enlightens the reader as to how to actually find customers to buy your e-book. They simply make claim after claim, while showing big number after big number until you're so jacked up that you purchase it.
But is this actually any way to make a living? Basically by lying to people. The make claims like how they send their offer to their list and get orders that way. The problem is that when you're starting out, you have no list. Another that I read one time was that you start a blog reviewing the book you've written in order to get sales. If you're a rookie to the Internet this sounds good, the problem is reality. Just because you start a blog, it doesn't mean that people will read it! Just as when you write an e-book, it really doesn't matter if no one BUYS it.
The deal is that you can make money by writing an e-book and selling, but you better have a plan as to how you are going to get people to buy it. The bottom line is that you don't get anything for writing it. You only get something on the back end when someone actually buys it. So just be careful of all the hype out there surrounding e-books and there is a ton of it. Remember, in 97% of the cases, these hype masters are weasels just trying to get your $35 bucks for their e-book!

IIW AWARDS THE 2009 WOMAN OWNED BUSINESS GRANT

"Investing In Women has awarded a $500 “stimulus package” to a woman owned business, The Underground Railroad To Success. The URS was started by Tanisha Cunningham to teach independence to foster children. This grant will give the non-profit a chance to market their business.

- Investing In Women has awarded their first grant to a woman owned business in the USA. The recipient of the award is Tanisha Cunningham, founder of The Underground Railroad to Success (www.railroad2success.com). The URS is a non-profit that provides a service to foster children aging out of the system to live independently as adults while becoming an integral part of society. This is great for foster children and also has a positive affect on our society as a whole.

“Aging out” is the term used for children who go into foster care, but are never returned to their families of origin or adopted by others. They stay in the system until they turn 18, or graduate from high school, and for the most part, are left to fend for themselves as best they can.

Tanisha Cunningham started URS in January of 2009. A child of foster care herself, she saw the need for foster kids to have additional support when they were no longer eligible for state run services. Soon after her foster care ended, she began a career in child welfare

“I wanted to stay there because my passion had always been to give back, because I knew the struggles of living in foster care, and the fear of leaving unprepared, not having a place to go or having the skills to obtain a job.”

Investing In Women (www.iiWomen.com) is a free business resource site, grant program and marketing venue for entrepreneurs. The organization plans to offer several micro grants in 2010, including grants that are not awarded based on gender."

The Simple Truth About Making Money Online By Trevor Kugler

The Simple Truth About Making Money Online
By Trevor Kugler

In my experience there is a ton of misinformation floating around about making money online. It seems as if everyone has the next big idea about making money online. The problem is that most of these ideas revolve around you giving someone a bunch of money, and them giving you the 'secret'. As a person who makes some money online, let me clue you in. There is no secret. Making money online is just like making money anywhere else.
You see, making money is a process. Much like learning to ride a bike is a process. Did you wake up one day and start riding a bike? Of course not! To begin with you had training wheels. Then you practiced and practiced. Then you tried riding without training wheels and fell down again and again. And then one day, you rode off and you knew how to ride a bike. Riding a bike was a process and making money is exactly the same.
It makes no difference if the money is made online or offline, the bottom line is that you want a business that makes money. For this article though, we're focusing on the truth about making money online. And the truth is (as mentioned earlier) that making money online is just like making money offline. It's just that the process is a little different.
People run into trouble when they start buying into all the hype out there about making money online. If you believe the hype you won't make money, because hype causes you to do things that you normally wouldn't. Then the next thing you know you're out a bunch of money and no better off. All because you bought into a bunch of hype like: Never make another cold call, or we'll do the selling for you, or pick out your favorite 'style' of site, etc. etc. None of this hype will get you any closer to making money online.
The truth is that if you aren't passionate about what you're doing, you have no chance of making money either online or otherwise. If you want to make money online, there is most likely going to be a website involved. You better believe in this website and be passionate about the subject that the site is based on. If your online money making venture revolves around your passion, you've got a good shot of making money online. Just keep in mind that's making money online is a process and won't happen overnight. Just like with learning to ride a bike, you need to keep practicing and getting back up when you fall down. If you do, you'll be making money online sooner rather than later.

The Top Ten Things No One Told You About Having Your Own Website

The Top 10 Things No One Told You About Having Your Own Website

Like many things on this earth, having a website sounds great on paper, but what you don't consider are some of the most important aspects of having the site. These are my top ten in no particular order.
1) Having a website means absolutely nothing without traffic. That is without visitors. Without visitors a website is like a piece of paper you jotted a note on and forgot about. What's that piece of paper worth to you?
2) Getting traffic is not an easy thing to do. Don't let anyone tell you that it's easy or quick to get traffic. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of money, getting traffic quickly is not going to happen.
3) Once you start to get a little traffic, expect to get inundated with unwanted emails like you were some porn addict putting your email address into any box that pops up on the screen in the hopes of getting a quick 'peek'.
4) If you pay someone else to do your site, and you need changes it's going to cost you a lot of money. (And by the way, you will want to make changes).
5) Making money on the internet is not easy! It can be simple, but not easy. I've seen a lot of crap out there that makes it seem as if making money on the internet is as easy as brushing your teeth, but this is not the case.
6) To have a decent site, it's going to get changed more than a teenager with a two hundred and fifty dollar gift certificate to the Gap, especially in the beginning.
7) Everyone says that you MUST have a newsletter. But without significant traffic, it doesn't matter, because no one will sign up for it any way. You can of course buy a list of names to email your precious newsletter to, but this will cost you a decent amount of money, just like everything else.
8) Search engine Optimization is not everything everyone makes it out to be. Many times it's made out to be the be all and end all. But you must pay attention to where all the hype is coming from. Normally it's coming from someone trying to sell you SEO services. Just paying someone fifty bucks a month for these services is not going to bring you five hundred dollars worth of business a month.
9) Very few people mention article writing as a means of promoting your website, but it's a good one. And in most cases it's free. That's probably why it's not mentioned a lot, because some dorky tech guy's not going to make a buck off of it. But, no matter what you hear, article writing is a good thing.
10) Just keep at it and trust your instincts. There are many people on the internet trying to squeeze money out of you, especially if it's a subject that your unfamiliar with nso just trust your instincts. They will rarely steer you in the wrong direction.
Those are my top ten things that no one told me about having a website. Hopefully they can help you save some time, money, and heartache.

The Best Kept Secret To Online Success

The Best Kept Secret To Online Success

If you're reading this article you're obviously interested in online success. And I'm going to give you the best kept secret of online success that no one will tell you about. But before I get to the secret, if you're interested in the quick and easy approach to online success, STOP right now. You're never going to find it. There is nothing quick and easy about online success, so get that idea out of your head right now. Just stop and go spend your money on a fistful of lottery tickets… your chances of making money the quick and easy way will be greatly improved with lottery tickets.
There seems to be a common misconception out there that online success is as simple as building a website putting that website on the world wide web, and bingo your good to go. For the uninitiated, this is a complete fallacy. Simply slapping a decent looking website on the World Wide Web doesn't amount to a hill of beans. That is of course unless you simply want a "billboard" sitting in the midst of infinity.
You see, making money online is exactly like making money in any other endeavor. It just seems (to the average person) like making money online is somehow different than making money anywhere else. This may be due to the fact that anyone and I do mean anyone, can have a live website up and working in a day or so. As I've alluded to though, just getting a website up and running has little or nothing to do with online success.
Online success is a process. That's the secret! Contrary to what many of the so called "experts" say, there is no substitute for hard work when it comes to becoming an online success. Many of the "experts" out there make it seem as if becoming successful online, which more than likely Means making money, is as simple and easy as scratching your head. This simply isn't true. The secret, that none of them want to tell you is that success online is a process.
You, as the person interested in having success online, are going to have to work your butt off. You, or someone that you hire, is literally going to have to go out and get traffic for your website, because if you don't realize it, without traffic, there will be no online success. And getting traffic is a continual process. There, in a nutshell, is the key to online success. Yes, the key to online success that no one will tell you about is the fact that it's a process! Online success isn't something that happens with the snap of your fingers or that happens just because you think it should.

Should You Waste Your Money On SEO By Trevor Kugler

Should You Waste Your Money On SEO

Do you have a website? And when you got that website looking like you wanted it, and everything seemed to be good to go, what happened? If you're situation is anything like mine, you then discovered, like someone quietly wrapping their hands around your throat and squeezing the life right out of you, that it didn't matter much. You see, once everything was as we wanted it, we then realized that none of it mattered if no one visited our site.
So we asked our webmaster what he thought should be done? His suggestion was a search engine optimization service he was selling for fifty bucks a month. He said that if we did this, our website could be in the top 10 results on various search engines. This sounded wonderful, and we assumed it would bring a ton of visitors. In theory it would, however your website doesn't end up in the top ten results! Actually we were in the top three results for terms that people would never search for, simply because the terms ar5e an unknown entity. Would you search for the term, 'gang hook'? I think not, but we were number 1 on most search engines. I remember our webmaster actually saying to me once, "that's a good term, you're the first result." The thing that I quickly realized about being in the top ten search results is the fact that it doesn't matter if no one searches for that term!
At that point we were eight months intro our little internet venture and becoming more and more frustrated by the minute. I would think to myself, "Screw this, you're not going to be able to make money on the internet. It's a big scam!" And to be honest, I still think that much of the internet is a scam.
Then I discovered things like article writing websites like this one and things began to change. I could actually see results from writing articles on a site such as this and it didn't cost anything but a little time. And there were real results, as apposed to some techie filling my head with utter gibberish!
I suppose the bottom line is that much of the stuff you read and hear on the internet is garbage, especially when you're just starting out. I've found that the internet is exactly like everything else on this marvelous pebble we call earth. About ninety five percent of what you hear is junk and the rest is worthwhile. The internet is just like everything else; you're going to have to invest some time and money to make it work for you. But beware; there are a lot of people trying to take advantage of those of us who don't completely understand all of this 'tech stuff'.

SEO-What The Weasels Won't Tell You By Trevor Kugler

SEO-What The Weasels Won't Tell You
By Trevor Kugler

In my experience as a non- techie, there's a ton of misinformation out there about search engine optimization and how it can help your website. The basics fact sound great: Pick out key words and phrases that people will type into search engines and then have your website show up in the top ten results on said search engine. That's sound wonderful, right? Being in the top ten search results for given phrases would be great, the problem is that it's not as simple and easy as paying someone fifty bucks a month to 'submit' your site. Many companies make it seem as if you give them your ten search words or phrases, along with fifty bucks a month or more, and bam your wonderful website will be in the top ten results for those phrases. This is not true.
Unless of course your search phrases are so unique that no one would search for them anyway. For example, if you have a product that’s brand new to the marketplace and the phrase used to describe that product are unique. In that case your phrase will climb rank in the search engines, buy it's because no one searches for it. If you're trying with words and phrases that people search for such as 'book deals' for example, you won't sniff the top ten search results. Not without spending a lot of time and money. No one tells you this though. Our webmaster simply wanted to make the fifty bucks a month, without explaining what we should actually do.
In order to optimize your website for search engines, you need to build it that way. The phrases you decide on need to be incorporated into the site and page titles. These are the types of things that no one explained to me about search engine optimization. I was just told things like, "pick some phrases that you think people will search for and we'll submit those phrases to the search engines." This, of course, accomplished nothing, other that us wasting money.
My point to this entire article is to tell you a few of the things that no one told me, in the hope that you won't have to go through the same experience. There's no easy fix to the search engine optimization puzzle and the bottom line is that it's not simple and easy to get in the top ten search results for phrases that are worth a plugged nickel. It's rather difficult as a matter of fact. I simply think that anyone who wants more traffic should be aware of this little fact. Do your due diligence, and don't ever expect something for nothing. It's simply a fallacy that you can spend fifty bucks a month and end up in the top ten search results. There's a lot more involved in the mine field known as search engine optimization.

Put It On The Internet You'll Make $1,000,000

Put It On The Internet - You'll Make $1,000,000

Have you ever been talking to friends when someone mentions their idea for this or that and someone blurts out the wonderful option of putting said product or service on the internet and then just sitting back and making a ton of money. Most everyone has experienced a situation similar to this right? Or at least thought about it? I think there's a huge misconception out there that a person can just put a product or service on the internet and bam... make money.
Well, if you've done any research on this subject (that subject of course being making money on the internet) you realize that this isn't at all the case. It isn't as easy as just putting a product 'out there' and making money. I sure wish it was but unfortunately we live on the planet earth, and it doesn't work that way. Think about it, once your site or product is 'out there' how are people going to find it? I've learned from experience that there's not some internet fairy out there flying around making millions of people aware of whatever it is that you're offering. I used to think this fairy was real, but now I realize that it's not. There's much more too it. Making money on the internet with whatever product or service you want to offer requires work.
The first thing that has to be done is for you to figure out how you are going to drive traffic to your website. There are many ways to drive traffic to your product or website, but very few are free. Most options will cost you money and what does the fact that people want money from you bring? The fact that people can make money off of this type of information brings a can of worms bigger than anyone could imagine. Not only does it bring a BIG can of worms, but the can has fallen over and there are worms everywhere!
It seems like everyone has the answer to driving traffic to your site and they would be more than happy to provide you with that answer for a price. My webmaster charged me fifty bucks a month for "search engine optimization" and all that was happening was my site being submitted to search engines! After six months of everything remaining exactly the same, except for me being three hundred bucks lighter, I told him to stop the madness. I told him there was no point in me paying for something that wasn't helping my website or product. So be careful about all of the SEO stuff out there.
There are many ways of driving traffic to your website and some of them are actually free. Some of them would include: Article submission (a great one), free press releases (this one doesn't seem too effective), a newsletter or e-zine (getting subscribers can lead to the same can of worms spoken of earlier), message boards, and others.
The bottom line is that a person can't just 'put it on the internet and make $1,000,000.' Not without the effort that having anything worthwhile takes. With persistence and faith it can be done, it's just not as simple and easy as many would have you believe.

Online Business And Customer Service By Trevor Kugler

Online Business And Customer Service
By Trevor Kugler

Have you ever noticed that with many online businesses customer service seems to be at the bottom of their agenda? It almost seems as if people think they can slap a website on the internet, offer a product or two, and be done with it. Let me ask you a question. If this were true why wouldn't everyone do it? The answer to that question is really quite simple. Because if you don't provide excellent customer service, you won't last long. I believe that online business and customer service should go hand in hand, and I think you should as well.
It perplexes me that most online businesses don’t seem to feel this way. Most online businesses seem to think of customer service as an after thought. This simply shouldn't be the case. Just because the customer isn't physically being spoken with, it doesn't mean that you can't develop a relationship. Taking care of the customer should be every businesses first priority, whether that business is an online business or traditional businesses.
How many of you have emailed a company asking them a question, only to receive a response days later or not at all. I know I emailed and affiliate of mine months ago, and still haven't heard anything from them. Guess what this means? They are no longer an affiliate of mine, and I tell anyone who's interested not to do business with them. My company is a small fish right now, in a very big pond, but to me it makes no difference. The principles are the same. Eventually, the company I'm referring to will fall by the wayside, because they aren't truly interested in the customer.
Don't you think dealing with a company who's interested in taking care of you is a pleasure? If this company treats you well, aren't you likely to tell other people about it? And aren't you likely to use them in the future? Of course you are. It only makes sense. So always keep in mind that your online business and customer service go hand in hand. Care about your customer, no matter how small your business is, and you customer will carte about your business, it's as simple as that.

Tips For Effective SEO

Tips For Effective SEO

When Google changed the rules for SEO to make it harder for black hat Internet marketers to game the search engine, many people felt that SEO was dead. However, there is still a place for SEO techniques, not just to attract traffic, but also to monetize your site. The problem comes in when people start following formulas that don't change and adapt with the market.
SEO is time-sensitive.
What may be a brilliant strategy in one time-frame can end up being panned by Google in another. That's what happened with all those people who took such great care to stuff their meta tags with keywords. Now, they're basically ignored. If that was their entire SEO strategy, it would have left them with a rapidly declining page rank and virtual anonymity in the search engine result pages. So, try to follow good, time-tested, rules of practice that can keep your site active and ranking near the top of the search engine pages.
These strategies may sound like common sense, and they are. You should try to keep up with changes as Google changes their algorithm so that you don't end up being affected negatively by a change in their policies. But, using straightforward common sense can also help to keep you doing fine when others are scrambling to implement new strategies to make up for poorly thought out choices earlier. So, let's review some ways to make the SEO in your articles and press releases have a timeless quality to them.
Choose Familiar Words
Don't try to get too fancy or hog all the trendy words coming out for SEO keyword phrases. While they are great for a short time, they'll eventually fall out of favor and so will your traffic. Try to stick to keyword phrases with familiar words in them that also have been checked for low competition, high CPC and search volume. You may not get everything you want from those criteria, but try to get whatever you can.
Choose Words That Follow The Goldilocks Rule
The keywords you want to focus on shouldn't be too narrow or too broad in scope, just like your website niche. That's to help you target the demographic in a way that generates the most traffic that you can from it.
Start Small
If you don't have a whole lot of time to devote to SEO, don't worry about it. What's most important is to get a start on it. You can start with just developing a niche from SEO research or using it to add value to your advertising campaigns. Don't feel like you have to go whole hog and flood every press release with tons of keywords. Don't think you're not doing it right if you don't have time to join a social network or write for article directories. Do what you can and learn as you go.
By the way, are you a coach, consultant, entrepreneur, speaker, small business owner or online marketer who is tired of getting paid less than you are worth for your coaching and consulting?
What if you could learn how to package and sell your coaching packages for $4k, $8k, even $12k or $25k and enroll multiple clients per month at those prices?
To begin learning how you can sell your own coaching for between $4k and $25k per client, download my new recording: "How to Sell High Ticket Products Online" here:

PostDateIcon October 22nd, 2009 | PostAuthorIcon Author: John Berling Hardy

People lie so easily these days. There are overt lies, such as how old we are, how much money we make and where we were last night. Then there are the covert lies — lies of omission. For instance, when an executive tells his wife he will be travelling abroad on business but neglects to add the fact he is also visiting his mistress.

Then there are lies of implication – we know, in saying one thing, there is a whole series of implications our listener is likely to make based on their character and previous experience. Of course these do not count as lies in court of law, but they are no less misleading than the other two categories.

An example that comes to mind was when my friend Chris referred to his friend Lex, saying, “That boy, I worry about him. I do my best but I don’t know…”"

Making Money On The Internet Is No Easy Task

Making Money On The Internet Is No Easy Task

There are many so called experts on the internet that claim that making money on the internet is every bit as easy as wiping your butt after using the bathroom. And they of course will give the "inside secrets", for a price. In my experience many such offers are a scam, and the information that you receive for your money is full of more fluff than crème filled donut from your local supermarket. In most cases you can get information that's just as good by searching article directories.
Don't let anyone fool you, making money on the internet is exactly like making money in any form of business. Remember the Internet is just a way to do business. Just like the telephone or direct mail are ways of doing business. Contrary to popular belief, making money in any form of business is a process and not at all an easy task.
The task can become easy and fun in time, but it's not going to start out that way. There are many things that you must learn in order to make money on the Internet, or anywhere else for that matter. It's kind of like riding a bike. Did you jump on a bicycle the first time you ever saw one and ride off? No you had to fall down and keep trying in order to learn how to ride a bike. Making money on the internet, or anywhere else, uses the same principle.
The bottom line is that making money on the internet simply isn't a simple and easy task, and anyone that tells you that this is the case has their best interest in mind, not yours. You can make money on the Internet, just realize that it takes time and effort, and it's not going to happen overnight. The best weapon that you have at your disposal is educating yourself. Good luck and remember what Henry David Thoreau said, " Do not hire a man who does your work for money, but him who does it for love of it." Your internet venture should be done because you love it, not for the money.

When It Comes To Selling Something Is Honesty Actually The Best Policy?

Is Honesty Actually The Best Policy When It Comes To Selling Something?

Is honesty the best policy when it comes to sales? I believe that honesty is in fact the best policy, but unfortunately it seems that most business people don't necessarily agree. Whether it's making statements such as "you will never have to make another cold call" or "Sure, it's got fifty thousand miles, but they're highway miles" the end result is almost always the same. Many businesspeople think these kinds of statements are fine, because they are "technically true". But in reality, these kinds of statements aren't at all honest.
So is honesty the best policy when it comes to selling something, or can the truth be massaged to make your product or service seem better, when in fact the product is sub par? Is honesty the best policy when it comes to selling something? In my opinion, yes, honesty is the best policy when it comes to selling your product or service. In my experience many of the "technically true" statements simply mean that the product or service is less than high quality.
The bottom line is that many businesspeople in the world today just don't seem to think being totally forthright about their product or service will be beneficial to them. Once again, in my experience, this simply isn't the case. Being forthright and honest about your product or service tends to pay much longer term benefits to you as the salesperson.
It's unfortunate that so many people and businesses feel the need to say anything in order to get the sale. In my opinion this approach hurts everyone involved. The bottom line is that some people will like your product and service and some won't, that's it. The weasels (that use statements such as the ones listed above) seem to have a different approach. They live by the motto that everyone is a sale, and although this is technically true, it's just about as true as the "you'll never make another cold call", which of course isn't really true at all. It's just plain dishonest.
So rather than getting caught up in the semantics of this argument, let's simply end the discussion by saying that honesty is the policy when it comes to sales, that is if you're interested in sleeping well at night. I think Plato said it best when he said, "Honesty is for the most part less profitable than dishonesty", which of course is the reason that a question such as the one posed in this article even exists. I still say that honesty is in fact the best policy when it comes to selling something, no matter what that something might be.

Get A Website Going And You're Good To Go

Get A Website Going And You're Good To Go and make Money

Have you ever had this thought, or heard someone say such a thing? Because I want to be the first to tell you (if you already didn't have an idea) that it's not quite that simple. No not by a long shot. As a matter of fact, a statement like gat a website going and you're good to go, is tantamount to saying "get yourself a couple of lottery tickets, and you're good to go."
Having a website is exactly like having any other business, although you do tend to run into a lot more nerds in the website world. Imagine That! But it's true, having a website is just like having any other business, and it takes work to make successful. There are no quick fixes, although there are a lot of weasels out there that will try to convince you otherwise.
The bottom line is that it's a complete fallacy that you can simply put a website on the internet and be good to go. If you don't put some work into it all you have is a billboard among about fifty million other billboards. And if you have a billboard among fifty million other billboards, you're chance of being seen are slim to none. So being good to go should be the furthest thing from your mind.
Getting a website going is the easiest part of the process. From that point on, the real work begins. This is a simple fact that you need to be aware of before you make the decision to start a website, because if it's not understood, you'll probably quit before you even have a chance. This is probably the biggest reason websites fail…..they quit before they even have a chance.
So perform your due diligence so that you're aware of what you're getting yourself into and learn some of the simple steps that can tip the odds into your favor. I just don't want you to assume that it's as simple as getting a website going and being good to go. Unfortunately it's just not that simple.

Fishing E-books - Should They Cost More Than Traditional Books?

Fishing E-books - Should They Cost More Than Traditional Books?

Have you ever noticed that fishing e-books, actually almost all ebooks, cost twice as much as traditional books? Have you ever asked yourself why this is? I'll tell you why, because the weasels who sell most e-books have no problem taking their customers for a ride! It simply makes no sense to sell an e-book for more than a traditional book just because of some sort of "perceived" value. Well, not if you're an honest and forthright business/person that is.
I have seen many fishing ebooks out there being offered for thirty dollars or more, when if you go to any bookstore you can buy any fishing book on the shelf for well under this amount. Oh sure, you get the "perceived value" of five or ten bonus reports, and all kinds of supposed guarantees to make the offer seem better, but it seems to me that something is just "off" about this whole process.
Again, should an ebook cost more than a traditional book? Let's think about this for a moment. With an e-book, you download it onto your computer. If you choose to print it out, you're using your ink and paper. So why should it cost more than a traditional book? In my humble opinion, it shouldn't. The information is no different, all that's different is the hype. I'm sure this is true with all e-books, but I know it's true for fishing e-books.
I've seen many fishing e-books being pimped out there and every one I've seen costs at least twenty dollars, and in some cases upwards of forty dollars! It seems to me that this is a complete rip off and an e-book, which puts all of the "labor" on the buyer of said e-book, shouldn't cost more than ten bucks. In any case, that's my opinion, and I could most certainly be wrong.
If you happen to be in the market for fishing ebooks keep an eye out for affordable alternatives to all the options out there, and be careful. There are a ton of less than scrupulous people and companies out there, which have no problem taking advantage of anyone they can. The bottom line is that an e-book shouldn't cost any more money than a traditional book, no matter how many "free" gifts they include. Keep this in mind the next time you're in the market for a fishing e-book.

Making Awkward Keywords Sound Natural in Website Content

Making Awkward Keywords Sound Natural in Website Content

Punctuation and stop words can be used with the keyword phrases you choose to make the copy sound more natural and less search engine oriented. A stop word is a word that is ignored by the Google search engine when it is scanning the copy, so they don't have any effect on the actual keyword phrase, even if they're plopped right smack in the middle.
Google Stop Words
Stop words in Google are words like "and," "the," "for," and "a." There are actually many of these words you can use to help add a little sense to some nonsense sounding keyword phrases that you've found are highly profitable to target. To find a list, just Google; "Google stop words" and you'll get a nice list of them.
Punctuation is also ignored by the Google search engine when scanning the copy for keywords. Even capital letters are ignored. So, if you have a keyword that can end one sentence with a period and start another sentence with a capital, Google will read it as a connected keyword phrase. This type of tip is very useful for the regional keywords that might be something like, "New York Publishing Arts" or something odd. In that case, if you kept repeating this phrase, it wouldn't be hard for a reader to tell that you're trying to feed the search engines the same keyword phrase, and it also sounds very repetitive to the reader.
To keep that from happening, you can use stop words or punctuation. So, the keyword phrase might end up looking something like this in copy:
"The publishing world centers around New York. Publishing arts have grown and matured due to the number of quality writers attracted to this great city."
Or, if you are using stop words:
"Go to New York for publishing arts exposure. You won't regret it!"

Free Lifetime Traffic

Free Lifetime Traffic for your Website

I heard it said recently by a less than honest person that you could receive free lifetime traffic if you only signed up for this weasel's service. Free lifetime traffic? What in God's name does this even mean? For a neophyte that's new to the Internet, it might sound great, but as someone who runs an online business and actually provides an honest service to customers, I can tell you unequivocally that the term 'free lifetime traffic' is complete and utter BS!
If you have a website of any kind, you need to be weary of weasels making claims like this. Traffic is the lifeblood of any successful website, but there is no person, company, or banner exchange that's going to give you traffic for free. As a matter of fact the only effective way that I have ever found to get free traffic is by writing articles. While this is in fact free, it does require time and effort. The entire prospect of this weasel claiming 'free lifetime traffic' and then attaching a monetary value to it, is just infuriating to me.
If you want traffic for your website you're going to have to invest in it. Either by investing money through advertising, or investing time and effort through writing articles and such. The bottom line is that you must bring value to the marketplace, and in this case the marketplace is the Internet. There are many ways to do this, just make sure you stay away from weasels claiming things such as 'free lifetime traffic'. Remember; anytime someone claims that you can get something for doing nothing, beware!
